water abstract videos
Guess what? Not only does water make some amazing images but it also creates incredible film footage. One of the things you can do while shooting landscapes and other images is capture some video. A way of capturing the mood or feel of a location, video gives another dimension to a viewing experience. Why not use water abstract videos to showcase larger stills photography?
water takes many forms
From ice and snow, fog, mist, rain to the oceans and clouds, water is present almost everywhere on the planet. Looking at the water you can see around you is an everyday occurrence. Do you really look? When you look closely you will see reflections, you will see light patterns, you will see the texture of the water. This is what I love capturing with my camera gear!
meditations
When I am shooting water abstracts I tend to get focussed on the water. Very Focussed. When I am concentrating my awareness of my surroundings increases and I feel calmer. It is not a formal meditation, however I do find it very relaxing. Have a look at some of my YouTube videos and see if they have the same effect for you! There is a natural rhythm and a tempo to the movements in water which I feel these videos capture.
why video?
Video has the ability to tell a story much more easily than a stills image. My water abstract images take time to explore and appreciate fully and I often find new things in my large prints even after viewing them many times. Videos have the ability to deliver a connection quickly such as one of my water abstract videos on YouTube here Water Abstract Meditation and/or provide changing content as in my video here Meditation water reflection
So there you have it! I hope you enjoy the videos and don’t forget to check out more water abstract stills images on this website here water-reflection
